Frequently asked questions

Is Overflow Bible free?

Yes. Everything in the game is free. There is no paid version.

When do new questions come out?

A new Daily 7 arrives every day at midnight Eastern time. The Weekly 10 and Memory Verses refresh every Monday.

Which Bible translation do you use?

Prompts and answers come from the Bible, and verses quoted on the site are from the King James Version.

Why did my answer score only 1 point?

Scoring rewards rare answers. If most players gave the same answer, it is worth 1 point. Less common correct answers are worth 3, 6 or 10. See how to play.

I think my answer was right but it was marked wrong.

Every answer list comes from the passages shown under the prompt. If you believe a correct answer is missing, send it through the Feedback page in the game menu with the verse, and it will be reviewed.

Do I need an account?

No. You can play without signing in, and your results are saved on your device. Signing in with Google lets you keep a streak across devices, add friends and send gifts.

Can I play with a group?

Yes. In Party mode a host starts a private party that others join with a five-letter code, or a public party that anyone signed in can find in the Public parties list. Up to 8 people can play, which works well for youth groups, small groups and family nights.

Where are ads shown?

Ads are only shown on reading pages like this one, never during a game.
